I was in Auckland last week for work and Top Predator invited me down to a sheep/cattle farm south west of Hamilton to look for some feral goats, pigs, rabbits, fallow deer, etc. We didn't see any deer and the pigs were staying down in the deep brush where it was cool so we shot a mob of goats and a couple of rabbits. Here are some scenery pictures: About halfway down the bluff on the left, about even with the tree in the valley below, the black dots are wild turkeys. The pigs and goats live in the gullies and brush in the background and come out in the pastures to graze. Here's James with a brace of bunnies taken with a shotgun. Thanks to James and Graham (the farmer/landowner) for the fun. Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money." - Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953 NRA Life, SAF Life, CRPA Life, DRSS lite | ||
