Finally got around to uploading some pics, so I'll post them and write up more of a story tomorrow... My wife and I hunted in June with Tim Buma, who posts here as TrackersNZ. We planned the trip as our honeymoon, after being married in April. The area we hunted was out of Fox Glacier on the South Island. The scenery was outstanding, and we had a terrific time. Tim was a great guide, and everything was top notch. Kristin with her Tahr: Me with my Chamois: Use enough gun... Shoot 'till it's dead, especially if it bites.

Well done mate....looks bloody cold! ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Was the chamois taken there on the flats, or did you move it for the photos? Would love to read more of your story when you get time to post. - stu

Stu - Chamois was taken above snow/tree line, but weather was coming in FAST and we had to get out with no time for pics until we got back down to the valley. M98 - Just went up and measured the tahr...it's about 8" (just had a steel tape measure, so it's hard to follow the curve exactly). The Chamois is about 7 1/2". Use enough gun...
