I'm back! Computer shat it self and its taken awhile to get a new one. Got a newish phone as well so I'm learning how to use that bastard! BUT going hunting this weekend with my son so looking forward to that.

Hi Bakes. Hope you and the family are doing well.

Not much happening down south. My business has been forced to close for the last 4 weeks. Havent been able to travel further than 5ks from home for the same period. Am allowed out of the house for up to 1 hour for the purpose of exercise.

Prior to that, we were banned from traveling outside the city since the beginning of July, so no hunting allowed for the last couple of months now.

We have the sambar rut starting any time now, but its unlikely I will see it this year.

I get out every day Bakesy,not being locked down and living in the Nth East mountains makes it easy as..seeing lots of sambar.

Was hoping to visit you this year Gryph. Covid sucks!

That's pretty crappy Bwana. I hope things pick up for you guys soon. My ADA club had a Sambar trip lined up this year but that was put on the back burner.

Glad your getting out Gryph. I'm looking forward to this hunt. My son now has his gun licence and is getting into the hunting.

OK, this isn't in quite the same league as a Buff hunt in the Zambezi but felt good nevertheless after being released from another Lockdown on Monday. It was just great to get out for a quiet walk around in some easy hills on a lovely morning and sniping the odd pest here and there. I find trigger time very therapeutic.
