any stags starting to roar yet? I'm yet to hear one and by now i can normally here 3 or 4 havin a go at eachother, actually they started here on about the 20th of march last year.
Bit dissapointed i havnt heard anything but with it being so dry would that keep the quiet?
location lower north island, private land of course.

LorenzoIn South America the same. See my post in that Forum about my argentinian hunt. Very little roar early in the morning and nearly nothing in the evening. At night was another story, lots of roaring.

ShinzoA bloke I work with went into the Cascade the week b4 Easter & saw only hinds & young, Stags all up high still & showing no interest in the ladies. So either to early or too dry for them to get going just yet.
