Crossbows are coming under legislation for registration as firearms, requiring all the crap like 'recognized club use' etc, around November or so.

Will probably be Category M. M for Mystery since no one at Police HQ could explain it to me.

Category E, body armour etc. on Collectors licences has now been removed from the licence card and replaced with above 'Cat M'

All other Collector Cats will now require a letter stating the need to collect the item, such as age, value etc. relative to a certain 'theme'.

Basically anything after 1947 is being knocked back is one rule of thumb.

I can no longer buy a modern Cat A ,B or H firearm on a collector's licence.

However I can buy them on a normal shooters licence.

Meaning the once mighty Collector's licence is now a piece of toilet paper.

Then again as it states on the back it was always their property anyway....

So tell them you shoot them all. Can't shoot collectors except on the rare occassions and then only one collectors cub is certfied for range shoots anyway.

I only have one gun on a collectors Browning A5. Prefer it on my shooters though

Approximately 15% of shooters voted for the Shooters Party at the last NSW election.

If I was one of the two major parties I would also be saying....fuck the shooters"

One Nation was also an outlet for shooters and of course for the people feeling flooded by immigrants. But again if you were Labor or Lib/Nat you would be saying...fuck them, they still vote for us anyway

Mike,

Australians seem to take no political interest anymore.

Try asking "How do you feel about the fact you may never get to retire thanks to the govt talking about making old people work for their own super".

Or the War on Terror.

And you get a slightly pained expression/short circuit, panic reaction, then a blank look and "yeah well got some new tiles for the pool yesterday, Great Deal on them! and looking at taking the kids out..."

I'm sure even the dumbest aussie used to take some interest in talking about unions in the news or students marching or bitching about corrupt polly's.

Now all you hear is men talking like housewives-they really settle into a good rhythm about "some new place they bought a fucking clock radio", and you know if you bother to listen you are stuck there for the long haul.

The government is controlled by 5% of the people!
Those 5%, are the ones that restore the same old crowd or vote for change.
95% of the population don't give a rat's ass! So what if 10% of the nation are shooters; 95% of them don't give a rats ass either which leaves a very very small part of us to do the hard yards.
If only every shooter voted likewise, we would have the power to tell Howard, Latham and Co to get stuffed!
