I saw an article the other evening on ABC news regarding some upcoming changes in SA's firearms laws. It was one fo the first stories up that night and had some talking heads from SAPOL and the SSAA playing it up as a great thing. The only problem was.........they never elaborated on what the actual changes were.... Typical really, don't let the facts get in the way of a good story etc. Anyone know what the changes are? I can't find anything anywhere.

It is my understanding that the changes aren't written yet. SAPOL are working on them and SSAA(SA) are preparing submissions etc. If you want to know what is going on call the SA state branch of SSAA. Ian

Jaco Avatar is referring to changes in firearms laws in South Australia. Avatar The announcement was merely that the laws are to be reviewed. Specifically they are going to look at the onus of Club Secretaries to say a member is a fit and proper person. Which might be difficult to do for shooting clubs. We will see if it makes everything harder or easier.
