Bob Taylor has made some real nice custom rifles on cadet actions. He makes his own extractors I believe. I can give you his email address if you like?

Any one had any experience with using rimless cartridges in Martini Cadet rifles ? I have several Cadet actioned rifles in Hornet , .218 Bee and .222Rimmed , but came across an advert for a Martini Cadet extractor for rimless cases .Using normal .222 Rem cartridges would be sweet .

How good are these extractors? Anyone had personal experiences? No mention of cats in this thread please...

Graham Sproggen in Sydney sell them about $180(ouch!)

I tried shooting 222 rimless in my 222Rimmed and found that the small Chapman screwdriver will hook the out. just be carefull about case length as any excess length will jam the case in tight requiring a cleaning rod to remove.

(I've got a flamin drawing of one somewhere which I'll scan and post)

P.S. just talking to a mate on the phone re this very subject and he said with his he took the extractor completly out and uses one of his wifes crochet hooks on the rim!
