Yep and No.

Got a bump from a small barra. And had some tarpon follow it back to the boat. I've come to the conclusion I need a new rod and line, any suggestions that won't break the bank?

I'd also like some advice on a suitable flyrod for barra and the like - and yes, any excuse for some more toys because, in case you weren't aware....

Bakes,
a ten weight outfit will do the trick for your part of the world.I don't have a spare rod to send you, but I'm sure that I have a number 10 line somewhere.I'll look this week for the line and will ship to you.companies like skakespeare make a reasonably priced rod.JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM FIBREGLASS!!!!

Bakes ,
Have you tried using the flies on a threadline in the manner I explained to you? You'll find it very productive.
