After the great help I got on the powder scale, I thought some may be of help with this question.

Any ideas about great sites on the Ackley Improved catridges, and particularly the .22-250 version. I have read Ackley's twin volume it is falling apart.

I have come across a few but some of you blokes probably know fantastic sites.

I don't know of any specific websites on the 22/250AI.

However, I currently am using a 22/250AI with 28 degree shoulder, which has very similar ballistics to the 40 degree version.

My current barrel has a 1 in 10 twist, and consequently have mainly used the 69 grain Sierra in the field. However, out of curiosity I have chronographed bullet weights from 60 - 100 grains to see what velocities the case was capable of.

I can email you a copy of my data if you are interested. Regards, Brian.

I've a friend with a 22-250 AI and he's loading with 41g of Varget (AR2208) with 50g VMax at 4100fps. Is a 28" MAB barerl on a Kimber Varminter

Hope this helps

Cheers

Grant
