I've just read an interesting article on the indroduction of chamois into NZ in the NZ guns and hunting. You don't realise how much trouble they went to to make it happen.

yeah how cool would that be!! Thankfully it is only a short ride across the ditch to hunt tahr and chamois...

Not near as much trouble as was put into getting rid of them.

I was down in the Southern alps in February, boning out a young Chamois I shot with my bow when 3 young guys from Austria introduced themselves and explained they were from the village where the chamois had been caught originally. they still talk about it and the disruption it caused.
Ended up giving them a leg, it seemed fitting.

I've got the mag but am keeping it for the trip over to hunt tahr tomorrow Smiler

Hopefully the correct pages follow one another, unlike the last issue I bought.
