Well its christmas here, my young son is down the back putting holes into a hay bale with his bow, I'm having a coffee on my new coffee machine and watching Flash Gordon that my eldest boy got me. How's your chrissy been so far?

The 1980 Flash Gordon movie is one of my guilty pleasures. It's on my DVR and gets watched regularly.

I'm surprised (and I didn't realise until I watched it the other day) but Timothy Dalton is in it...what was he thinking?

Its a cool movie really - based on a 1930's cartoon strip and filmed using the 1930s type scenery and graphics. Ahead of its time with its seemingly sillyness. I liked back then , my son thinks its just stupid now but he doesnt understand the whole rationale of it .

And Brian Blessed is so good with wings .....

Kids these days Muzza don't get the old school special effects.

Ah, I watched Ted last night - do you watch with your Teddy bear as well?

I think Ted was the reason he bought it in the first place. We watched it together (Ted) and I was laughing my ass off when the clips of Flash Gordon came on. He asked "What the hell is that" I had to explain that it was the best worst movie ever....or is that the worst best movie
