Please , someone , just one small hunting story .....I need a fix and all this other stuff just doesnt cut the mustard......

This is to everyone who has joined this thread - THANKS . I thought we had all turned into couch potatoes (although FC and BAW are the right shape anyway..) and spent our free time watching the womens beach volleyball.

NitroX - you are excused , I know you have been hunting cos I am as envious as all hell .

At least things are happening , although some of us have been doing battle with a Pommy Homo in the Miscellaneous Forum just to break the monotony of life - "Ugly Bastardo" if you want to join in .

I havent hunted anything more exciting than lunch lately , but have a goat extermination job weekend after next - 10000 acres of goats that need thinning

Came accross a 10 point stag in his wallow, fired and he ran away

Sure I hit him but could find any blood trail as the bush was bloody thick and wet.

Shot a hind the next day close to the wallow but no Stag to be seen, and his wallow was clear as spring water.





Looked for 3 days but no sign of him, as I said the bush was that bloody thick

Next big trip is to Steward Island for 10 days, will give a full account then.

Our last trip was in NZ Outdoor December -Jan issue called the Grey Ghosts.

Now spring is here a hind maybe in order.
