We had the same kind of crap happen in my city a few years ago. Nutbar with 40+ "contacts" with the police, stabs his wife to death, then shoots the 5 kids and himself.

Everyone starts moaning about tougher gun laws. The guy didn't have a permit to have the gun, so how did he get one? Illegally, of course. Because anyone with any sense knows that gun laws only stop law abiding people. But, that doesn't matter to the idiots.

In fact, I think it came out that his father-in-law, who was well aware of his mental condition, gave him the gun that was eventually used to kill his grandkids.

Of course, they ignored the fact that he stabbed his wife - the only person who could conceivably stopped him. Apparently, because she was stabbed to death, she was "less" dead than the kids, who were shot. You only have to enact laws to stop people from being shot to death. Any other murders just require a shake of the head and a mild "tut, tut".

But as always, what you folks are experiencing in Oz over this right now, if almost a common weekly occurance in the USA anymore.

Cars kill more people annually than any firearms do,, so when do we out law cars?
