... on a three day business trip. I also hope to stop over for a week or two or three of bowhunting. Smiler

So where's the best water buff hunting? Maybe some other targets of opportunity in the same place?

Pigs and any other feral animals welcomed.

Please help me plan this out. I should get the dates soon, but I hope y'all can start my education now.

Hey Don

Buff are a great bowhunting challenge!! We run quite a few bow and other close-range hunts (handguns, muzzleloader, double-rifle), in several different concessions. If you'd like some info feel free to email me office@huntaust.com.au www.HuntAust.com.au

A friend and I hunted buffalo with Graham Williams of Australian Buffalo Hunters in 2004 and 2010 and had a great time. The first time we hunted, there was another hunter in camp who killed a buffalo with a bow the first day. Graham's hunts are in Arhnemland, and are from a tent camp. The buffalo hunting is great, and there were also lots of pigs and donkeys to shoot.

Sambar are the biggest and most sought-after deer species, but they're mainly in Victoria and can be real hard to connect with in a short time using fair-chase stalking. Hound hunters get a lot though, and you might find a guide who uses this method.
