I did the math on my small collection tonight and thought if something happened to them, I would be up for a reasonable chunk of cash to replace them. (not too mention red tape and time in getting new permits )
I've been doing some seaching on websites and one of the interesting things is that firearms are not classed as personal items . How rude, how can a firearm not be a personal item????

I would really appreciate any feedback/advise from anyone who has firearms insurance or who has looked into it previously. I am mainly interested in insurance for when they are safely locked away, but whilst in transit/hunting would be a benefit.
