I posted ages ago about our 7 year old ESS dying of cancer. I had to put him down in the end. I went to a shoot on the Sunday and low, when I got home, wife and son had been off and bought a whippet!! My first reaction was what now.......? Hunting wise. Yet even though he is only three months old, she is coming on well. Drew wont let me work him (I mean, her) on foxes yet (not that I would) but she has a really nice personality. When we get into bird season (if any Duck or Quail are around!), we'll no doubt check out the other breeds we looked at. But it got the family over a hump. She has claimed a bean bag in a big way and normally, our hunting dogs live outside. Now, to visit the boys room and the VB. Ross

I love whippets May be a bit small on foxes but you never know. Will be fantastic on rabbits and hares. Great family dogs. My old dog (a small terrier x) was put down a few months ago, he was 17 years old. Very sad day that was and now my big ridgeback has a spine condition that is getting worse and I may have to put him down as well , he's 11. I have a mate that has just put an english staffy over his Amstaff bitch and I have put my order in for a pup (carton of piss, can't argue with the price ) but man I would like a whippet. Our neighbour in Tindal rescued a greyhound bitch and gee she was lovely, a real nice tempered dog. ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"
