A few pics from our Wapiti trip, we had the Wapiti river for the second period. The first week was fine but for some reason the animals stayed in cover with only a few cows and calfs seen, we heard a few roring above lake sutherland but couldn't get close they kept shutting up. The weather turned to shit after the first week and both parties in the block came out early a bit disapointed.

My son came over at easter as he couldn't do the Wapiti trip due to Tafe studies, the roar was winding up and the weather over on the coast was not good so went for a Tahr trip at Tekapo. Saw a few but no decent bulls just family groups and juvenile bull groups, so he poped a small bull, the weather also packed it in so had to come out early again
