OK, i'm the weirdo getting the .408 chey tac
latest update for australian consumers....

yup, bruce bertram is too scared to lose his US defence contract to supply to private citizens!

it also appears the rumor that sierra is making a match pill for the .408 is also incorrect.

however, the .400/ 450 nitro projectile, also in 400gr from woodleigh projectiles are a decent fit, but will lose velocity quickly, (and will make a mess of a roo/ water buffalo)

i'm getting a PGWDTI timberwolf tactical in .408, with fluted tactical match barrel. i'm not sure what scope i'll throw on it, i currently have quick detach mounts on my sako trg42 in .300wm (which i also developed subsonic rounds for) and i currently switch between a swarovski 2.5-10x56 (illuminated crosshair) and a swarovski 6-24x50 (tds retical) it's good, i can mess up a rabbit at 700m

as more info comes to light i'll post some.

thaks for all the thoughts and suggestions,
it appears the easiest way to supply brass is to form it from 505 gibbs (the parent case).

cound anyone reccommend a company who makes forming dies for this project?
thanks.

peace

Tailgunner, I don't go there enough to know what went on but what I did see was people having their posts moderator edited.
Then a locked thread where the head guy proclaimed he was sick of being questioned, or words to that effect, because it was affecting his personal life etc.
Sounds like poor old Idi Amin having to shoot his advisers who gave him a headache.

Karl.
