Hmmm
Not very sporting, bit of fun to say you have done it, but not any challenge in it.
Now if the guy had managed to hit a deer with a single 12lb ball that would have been something, but the meat damage would probably be extreme depending where hit.

Hmmm roo culling with a canon - reason for permit to aquire - "I need an 18lb howitzer to cull kangaroos"
Of course would need to put a scope on it to meet requirements of the cull permit.
I don't think the fisheries and wildlife officer would see the funny side of it if I rang up and asked about using a canon.

How the hell did you find this site?

I like this quote
Quote:

Keep at least 30 feet clear "behind" the mountain howitzer for recoil.

I know of a few water holes where this set up would work

Our Army Training Facility in the Central North Island is home to lots of lovely wild horses , and the Mortar Battalions ( so I'm told ) used to used horses as moving targets , at least until the do-gooders found out . Of course I can neither confirm nor deny that suggestion....
