If he hasn't booked a hunt with anyone and if he doesn't know anyone up there to take him out I'd say he doesn't have much of a chance.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

The problem with finding an outfitter.... not being availability but rather the time it takes to get a OS Visitors firearms permit. If he was hunting with a private (licenced) person and using their firearm he would not need this permit but for an outfitted hunt he does. Generally takes a few weeks to get the permit but we have managed to get them pretty fast when the stars and moon align just so.

No worries - there are plenty of outfitters around who could fit-in for a last minute hunt, so long as the licencing requirements are met. If he needs any help just let me know and I will do what I can... office @ huntaust.com.au

cheers
Matt
