OK I might be coming across to Perth in November, with a visit to Kalgoorlie thrown in. I want to get me a decent Akubra, a pair of Blunnies, any other good bush gear you blokes might have. Any suggestions??

I suppose witth all the South Africans roaming around in Perth all the shops stock is SA bush gear, which is definitely not wanted.

Cheers

Westaussie,

I see it's quite a way by road which is really what I'd like to do so's I can see the country. But time is a problem so I guess I'll have to fly. I'll be in WA 13/11 to 25/11, and specifically in Kalgoorlie to see the superpit 15/16 of Nov.

The RM Williams boots are the boot of choice amongst you blokes? Good-oh. They expensive over there? they cost a mint over here. I'll also be looking for a nice Driza-bone coat.

Cheers

pete

It's still only a 6-hour drive to Kal. Is time that tight? I've driven that road some 200 times boring as batshit after the first 12 or so times.

The train ride is good too. perhaps train one way in daylight & fly the other if time is tight. In my opinion the best accomodation in Kal is Yelverton Apartments if that is any use to you. There is plenty of interesting country around Kal if you have time and transport. Will you be in Perth for long?
