Just wondering if any Aussies are into these? I know of one guy at the belmont range who has one. Seems the proficient users( including the US guys I talked to over on the medium bore forum) say they can be almost as fast as a semi auto. Karl.

Karl, for far north hunting would the rem 700 weather master be a better bett it has the electro nickel finish on it...you could easily have a couple of inch's knocked of the barrel and add a wilso site and still be infront money wise as there a few hundred cheaper than the patrol model.

17" barrel btw. I have heard about the ar mags in .223 aswell somewhere.Would be a big seller here. YES!!!! Found a picture. "Imagine a short Remington 870 20-gauge pump that spits .223 loads and youve got the Remington 7615P Patrol Rifle. The manual of arms is the same as the 870, and the magazine well and magazine release mimic the AR-15. What could be simpler? It comes with a Wilson Combat Ghost Ring, a tough synthetic stock and weighs just 7 pounds. There was only one prototype available at SHOT Show, but I recommend watching this one. Its got legs."

That will be a loud mo********er! I had a Remington pump in 30-06. Plenty accurate, worked slicker than greased cat snot. May have to get another one. A perfect boat or truck gun. JCN
