Big cat shot in W.A.

Attached below is a photo of a Bengal tigger shot in W.A. recently by myself whilst out rabbit shooting . Hopefully this will finally dispel any doubt that there are big cats roaming the Australian bush .
Rifle used was my CZ 527 in .22 Hornet using 40gn Taipans , a deadly outfit on big cats to be sure as a single shot had this one totally stuffed .
Whilst hunting near an old homestead I caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of my eye . Amazingly a bear , a tiger and a donkey were seen within a few metres of one another . Choosing the tiger as my target I raised my rifle but unfortunately it spotted me and bounced into surrounding bush . Leading him by 2.805 metres and allowing 0.975 metres of holdover I dropped the cat with a shot behind the left ear as it zig - zagged through dense scrub at 348 metres .
Fortunately the cat's head was relatively undamaged and will make a good trophy . This saved me a drive of 160 km to the nearest river to dispose of the carcase .
The cat was clearly not full grown and as can be seen in the photo measured only about 2 metres in length .
Can't wait to get back out there and bag that bear .

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

You might find the bear a bit more challenging but I know a trick that will help .....you'll just need a decent sized honey pot and then you can bait him to within range!

Tigers and bears be damned! I'm going after a Unicorn that inhabits the local toy store! I'm not sure, but I think he will be SCI record material.
Bwana Bob, was that bear wearing a red shirt? If so, then I have seen it too! He sure gets around.

Bushchook,
it looks like you have murdered Tigger, now you will have to deal with Winnie the Pooh.

Well done!!

It's about time these aggressive and heartless animals were beaten at their own game...

More children can now sleep at night, safe in the knowledge that these giant cats are being brought under control...
