A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Pretty country, muzza. Thanks for the story.

Looks like it would be tough to keep your head up while walking.

And what the hell is this thing!?!? Looks like a porcupine, but I'd NEVER pick up the latter like that.

Its an echidna , a spiney , burrowing marsupial ant-eater. the spines all flow one way so if you fold them back against the body you can pick them up without stabbing yourself. One of the more intrigueing aussie native species.

Those rocks are evrywhere. Its like the whole area was a series of bubbling mud pools and the rocks were pushed up and flowed to the edge of the pool. You find circular "clearings" with rocky perimeters , as well as hillocks of rocks , and semi-vertical cliffs of rocks between the various plateau/plains. Really weird , obviously created by volcnic action way back when.

That pic of the Burdekin River is pretty cool too.

They have spines in all sots of places - in & out. So they negotiate. It goes like this....

"If you prick me, I won't poke you"

"If you let me poke you, I won't prick you....I mean poke with my prick..not the other way..."

She says "If you poke me carefully with your prick, I won't prick you ..I won't shed it..honey...or I'll make your balls look ..you get the picture sweet heart." jumping

Nah mate - not an aussie - tho they did beg me to stay at the airport when i was leaving . Apparently my leaving the country was going to lower the Australian national IQ considerably
