Woodjack,

Do you have a rifle already in mind to import? I ask because I have a dealer friend in the ACT who is about to bring a couple of rifles in, including my new Winchester 1895 .405Win, and we are looking for a couple of more rifles to add to the shipment to spread the costs.

Ozhunter,
I talk to Gary now and then, I shall enquire.

BwanaBob,
I dont have one ready just yet. What Im looking for(M70)comes up regularly on Gunbroker. Really need to know what time frame your import will happen and my expected ballpark shared all up cost, cause that will effect what/If I buy something.
Im looking at a rig around +/-US$600.
you can PM me.

SJM, PM sent.

Woodjack,

I'll find out what our timeframe is looking like. I have already bought and paid for my rifle and it is sitting with a US friend (FFL holder) until we can arrange shipping. My dealer friend, in the ACT, is looking for more individuals who want to import firearms and the final costs will depend upon how many firearms we bring in. I'll ask him how many we have now and what he expects our costs to be. Will PM you with the answers.

cheers,
Bob

Bob

I have two or three sets of barrels (for a Tikka double rifle) in the US waiting to be brought over. I was told that these do not require an export permit, but I believe now that they MAY require one after all. Plus some other goods.

I would be willing to discuss consolidating this shipment with your shipment.

John,

Ok, sounds good to me. I'm just waiting for my dealer friend in the ACT to call me back and then I will put him in touch with you.

cheers,
Bob

Richard Feinberg - We Are Guns. I don't know what he did but the ATF put him out of business while he was in possession of three of my rifles waiting for an export permit. ATF kept my rifles as part of the case against Feinberg for two years and have only just given me permission to take them back. A whole sorry saga really.

So, who do you all use for the US export side? I need to find someone.

cheers,
- stu

Leroys Big Valley Gun Works(Glasgow,Montana)

Leroys costs are quite reasonable compared to what some others charge.

On this GunBroker page, you can find a list of other International Firearms Transfer Agents.

I have used Leroys, Simpsons,Dakota and a few others over the years but the cheapest and best is Leroys because their fees are low and they use USPS which is the cheapest freight , I have never had a problem usually 6 weeks at the most one time 3 months but that was US State Dept. late on the export aproval.
