Is this like Paul Wheelan (NSW Police Minister) ringing Mick Smith's Sports Store to ask what a fucken semi-auto rifle was because he was going to a meeting in Canberra the next day to vote on banning them!

OK, I've checked the date, and it sure as hell ain't April the first. This is a joke, right? My son has a compound with a draw of about maybe 25 pounds - he is also licensed to carry (under my supervision) 'his' 22mag, 'our (?)' 223, and 'my' 270. Compared to his bow? Are they kidding? Tell me this is not serious, please. It was getting the bow that finally taught him how to stalk!

Has to be a joke!!

No it is very true.

Some kid took a cross-bow to a school last year or a couple years ago and shot some other kid (wounded or killed). So what do the idiots that run this country think? Ban them all! Don't ask me how it went from cross-bows to compond bows. Probably because the cross-bow had cams.

We have got to get some of these dickheads out of office.

So if they ask you register your bows will you do so?

I can't believe these dickheads, are we still in the fucking mediaeval or dark ages or what when bows were considered dangerous military weapons !

PS The Aust Cross-bow Assoc stuffed up really bad. They sent the arse-bandit politicians catalogues showing how hunting compound bows were very similar to the proposed to be banned cross-bows. Thinking it would be a bigger target for the ban and they would have more support to fight it. So of course our arse-bandit politicains decide to discuss banning the lot instead.

This is true, I know Mark Burrow's he is a member of ABA's national committee and have spoken to him abpout this problem/idiocy. The problem is that no one is allowed to contact directly any member of the FPWG that is advising the APMC, so the only option left is to contact local members and state police ministers.

There was also talk of introducing a licence with same safe keeping facilities as firearms.

Aren't these dipshits talking about licensing and storage of swords as well!
Next thing you'll have to licence your dick if it's over four inches long(well at least I'm safe on THAt one!)

What I'm really worried about is if they bring in licensing and safe storage requirements on my collection of flint stone axes and knives. Some of them are quite sharp and could be deadly if they got into the wrong hands.

What about friggin' kitchen knives, golf sticks, cricket bats, or even bricks!! Imagine having to get a Permit to Acquire for each and every brick you wanted to purchase to build a home! Not to mention taking a walk through my local hardware store!!

OK, I've got that off my chest - what's the next step, and what can I do to lodge my protest?

As to licencing dicks over 4", I'd proudly put my 'dick licence' in the front of my wallet, for all to see!! Just as long as they don't decide to have categories - A= 4-6", B = 6-8", C = 8+". If they do that, I'll have to stick my Cat C licence to my forehead!
