Not so much the bringing components in is the problem as the getting it out of the US. No problems legally but Jensen will not export himself to us. He was ready to do so back in 2002 when I mailed him, but this time we asked we got one of his underlings who said no go.

My mate is into the tactical side of things so a true 408 in 'the correct configuration' is probably what he will stick with, but I'll get him to log on to see the other choices you mention.

I agree with the atmosphere over at long range hunting. Its sort of like this site was about 5 years ago when it was all about bigbores and people were so obessessed with them they had no time for off topic posts etc.

However I notice it had gotten a little darker over there in the last year. Some heavy handed moderation occurring which is the all time best way to fuck up a site.
Is this still going on?

I go there (LRH) to read and learn, don't post much. Haven't noticed the moderating issue, but I did notice that a couple of the older posters got there panties in a wad when they wern't allowed to control the site, and left to form there own site.
