Has anyone out there ever used or heard of being used a Infrared game finder it is a little device like a gps that is used to scan the dense bush looking for body heat like a deer or pig for example I think the main use for these game finders is search and rescue but I want to try one for hunting. You can buy them on E-bay , various makes and specifications . They work on infra-red body heat , and i suspect the range may not be that great in new Zealand bush-hunting use. I have looked at them but havent convinced myself to buy yet . Let us know how you get on if you buy one . ________________________ Old enough to know better

Sounds good but what if the signal you get is from a farmer/ringer/truckie having a crap in the bush? Yin and Yan. Shooting is FUN, winning is MORE fun but shooting IS fun.

Shoot by all means - but dont gut the poor bastard before you drag him out! Seriously - I have never heard one good report from a user / owner of these devices. Eight years later, and I'm still waiting! :0( Rgds Ian Just taking my rifle for a walk!........

Yup - don't seem to see many glowing reports anywhere - which kinda suggests they may not be all they are cracked up to be ... ________________________ Old enough to know better
