As part of a BGRC shoot in southern Qld a Haleys Hope competition was run for the first time in Qld. Firstly a great thank you to Neale and Dave who worked tirelessly to run the event so smoothly and to organise the BBQ feed for tea and breakfast. As all who have been actively involved in clubs know, there are always 'the few' who do most of the work and Neale and Dave made the event fun and memoriable. Here are some of my photos of the BGRC event: AFRO408 (gunsmith to the gods) at the back with one of his single shots shooting cast projjies with woolen wads that stank like a hot Kiwi. The firing line at Dalby SSAA range Checking results before changing targets Some of the rifles including one of the .416 Rigbys in atendance. More Rifles (bad photo): The Qld Inaugural Haley's Hop shooters. This is a great event based on the Zimbabwe PH's final shooting examination. Targets here were set at 50, 30 and 15 yards. Two shots were fired at each target starting at the 50 yard targets with a quick two round reload between each target. Some of the Haleys Hop rifles. .303 No.4, 450NE double, CZ .416 Rigby, GMA .505 Gibbs, P14 .375H&H Mauser 66 .375H&H in recoil Best of all was meeting up with 18 like minded shooters with a common interest in shooting Big Bores. | ||
