We just got our first lift of firefighters from Australia and New Zealand today to help us fight the wildfires raging in Oregon and Washington. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to see those smiles and hear those accents on the evening news. Hope we can return the favor some day. Careful what you wish for Bill, we are coming into our fire season in a few months. Good to see people from around the globe helping out each other. ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. Yep one of them from the company I work for, ironically he is called Ash, supposed to be a divisional commander on the fire ground. Another of our ex-employees has just returned from helping the fire fights in Canada, second time he has been over there. Our company supplies a rural fire fighting party for our own area and some of the best have travelled away to help in other countries, three of them over to our neighbours in Tasmania back in 2013 (I think it was). Hope everyone stays safe where ever they fight fires. | |||

I appreciate the sentiment, but I just hope that US firefighters aren't needed here, though. -- Promise me, when I die, don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told I her I paid for them. | |||
