I bought a 3 to 9 by 56 Tasco World Class on ebay.

Went to get mounts to try it on a BRNO model 2 that we have that is very accurate. The standard and high rings we had would not allow the front lens housing to clear the barrel; not surprising.
The local dealer didn’t have 1†rings suited for the 3/8†dovetail on the BRNO. He tried the Winchester co. with no luck.

Lock, Stock, Barrel in Nebraska could only suggest Warne Mfg who may have an extra high mount somewhere. Before I try that, i thought I'd post here.

I tried to Ballarat gun shops with no luck.

Because of the 56 mm lens, it needs an extra high mount. I don’t necessarily intend to leave it on this rifle for ever but I just want to see how well it holds its point of impact.

Any ideas where else to try?

Thanks

Lynx?
If you have the 5/8" [16mm] dovetail, looks like their highest rings are 5/8" from top of dovetail to bottom of ring [assuming 1" tube on the scope].

The Warne 'Extra High' are .715" for the same measurement.

Cheers,
Doug

Several options exist depending on your dovetail width. Many of the 22 See through mounts are both high enough for your scope and flexible enough to allow mounting on different dovetail widths.
B Square make air rifle mounts with adjustable width dovetails and riser blocks for extra height. They also make adapter blocks that convert .22 dovetails to a weaver style base allowing use of any weaver style ring with the extra height of the adapter. I have used the latter with success for the same reason.

Gadge, followed up your idea of lynx and rang them in sydney. The manager was very helpful (Michael) and I have a one piece base and rigs on the way. expected to-morrow.

Your idea Ozzie, seems like it would have been good too if I hadn't already found what i needed,

Thanks
