I posted the following under Politics. Thought I may get a few opinions here. "I run a small gun business in a small country town in Australia and I thought you would like to hear my tale and maybe offer opinions. Over the last few months, the supply of US guns and ammo are now no longer freely available. I put in an order with our biggest importer for a very common brand of US rimfire ammo for quite a few cases and was told it wouldn't be here until next year as the US company was flat out meeting US demand. Soon after, contacted another importer of famous US brand of handguns and was told they had back orders of six months and I'd be looking at many months wait. Then another importer had the same story. All apologetic. All have massive back orders and all say that the US companies are flat out around the clock meeting local demand as US gun owners are worried about their gun rights and so are buying up in case. I haven't had the chance to read up much on our site here or elsewhere on the Net. It hasn't got into our papers or gun magazines yet but I certainly believe my suppliers. I wonder what its like in the US regarding supply atm?"

I can't even find 22LR CCI stinger or Remington yellow jacket. Nobody trusts US president Obama. People are concern about a 500% tax on ammo. So whether or not it's true, American gunowners aren't taking chances. At least we still have our semi-auto weapons and pump shotguns.
