ODAYS OUTCOME GUILTY OF MOST CHARGES.
David Mould - Guilty 13 charges (supposidly own consulting business and NEEDS WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK)
Kelly Lachman - Guilty 27 charges (works for Victorian dept of Department of Human Services)
it was a 16 day contested hearing
both found guilty,
David and Kelly - total 40 charges between them including theft of shooters items
Both NOW CRIMINAL RECORDS.
16 day hearing 2 barristers and 1 lawyer at 1500+gst = 1650 each per day!
approx 53,000 in barrister fees between them!
CONVICTED!!!!
FINED approx 9700 approx EACH - THATS RIGHT EACH!!
costs awarded to the FGA prosecutor of 5000 each included in the 9000
Breakthrough Case!!!

So for all who haven't heard, Dave Mould and Kelly Lachman had their final day (day 16) in court for the charges relating to 2010 duck hunting opening weekend in Victoria. Both were CONVICTED of a range of crimes including theft, harassing and hindering, and Kelly had two counts of indecent language. Their costs, which included court, witnesses and fines were in the mid to high $9000's EACH. Kelly's being slightly higher for twice using the C word. This does NOT include their own legal fees (2 barristers and a solicitor). Laurie bolted from the court room at the end and did not stick around to offer support to them. The weasel. Exact fines were $1400 each and costs awarded against them including prosection costs 5000 each and 2500 each for witness costs!!

That'll learn 'em!! Jeez, still some good in the World. So it works out quite expensive to be a wanker.

Who is Laurie - some sort of ambulance chaser?

Anyway - just when I was losing faith in Aussie courts, this happens....

... think they'll appeal? Only another $50,000 each .....

Laurie Levy is both typical of his kind and yet a kind of miracle. He claimed to have had a relationship with a woman once but apparently she couldn't keep up with his passion for ducks. Unless he drinks a lot of Coke or beer it's hard to see how he got to the size he is from eating vegetables.
