You must be slipping Big Grin
Here Ill help you out..

Took dad out for a fish last night, and he damn near skunked me.
I saved myself towards the end with a few Kahawhai and a stingray, but the awards for the night go to him and his snapper.

Got home early evening and chucked some straight in the pan. Cant beat a fresh caught fish and some fresh veggies for a simple tasty meal.

Nicely done Shanks. Went for a fish yesterday and froze my arse off Big Grin. Just bought a beach rod while I wait for my stuff and I’m going for an explore this weekend. I’ve also been checking out all the State Forrest I can hunt on dancing

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Froze your arse off.... Was it like 22 degrees or something? rotflmo

We've been hitting 27-28 here the last few days. Way too hot!

But yes I didnt think it would take you long to start exploring.

That fish would look so much nicer if rinsed off shanks..trophy prep for pics, you know the drill.
I like the insight as to how you are gonna look in 25 years too. I will know who to look for when I get off the plane....it might take that long to rid the covid curse.

Mate it’s 16 here now (feels like 11) Eeker

I also have no where to cook or freeze any fish. I’m living on base until I find a place to live. Rents and availability here are high and scarce.

16! jeez take care!
Yeah will take you a while to settle in and find a place id imagine. hope it gos well, you are in a top area for hunting and outdoor activities.

Gryph, yes you have a point, to be fair I did not want to muck around, its a little spot that not many know about despite alot of people useing the beach, and i was keen to get the photo and then get the fish back under cover before anyone clicked what we were catching.

Yes K would love it here....think next year. I`m double vaxxed btw.

A bootlace of 3' that can kill you the day its born.
Came out to feed a bit of seed to my Kings and saw it...shotgun? Safe! Shovel? Have five..wtf are they ha ha. A stick leaning on the wall was hastily grabbed and the whack of Thor was applied. Snakes have thousands of acres of their own just not on my back door step especially Tigers.

You mean 16 C? That's 60 degrees in actual temperatures. We won't see 60 again for 6 months. Won't see 30....
Also, it is against AR rules to post snake pictures. Especially ones that I know will kill you instantly with one bite. Those things freak me out.

I averted my eyes on that one. I grew up in the middle of copperhead and rattlesnake country. Saw and killed many of them, in the summers. And stationed at Ft Stewart; full of snakes, including cottonmouths, and coral snakes.
Every one gave me a heart attack.
But Aussie snakes are like 1000 times worse, I have read.
Where I live now, the only snakes are garter snakes. Children play with them.
Still hate them. .

You need to kill a few land eat the meat.
some of the best eats there is.
Deep fry in batter after letting the meat drain
over night.

Hey Bakes: I just looked the Sale area over on G/E.
I didn't locate the post itself. Sure a fine looking area though.

Not far from the beach or the woods to the north, several lakes and a rifle club on the south side.
Bet there's a lot of deer up there waiting for you, fish too.
How long will you be "stuck" there? Is this your last tour?
