A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

The crocs will get them out of the gene pool soon enough ...

Dumbest thing I've seen for awhile.

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Idiots.

We just watched the series Outback Hunters on Apple TV. If these idiots watched that, they would never set foot in the water.

Had a croc grabbed him, it would have prevented such tomfoolery for quite some time.

Just imagine the photo sequence from that!

With pictures like that and names too. What's the delay in arresting these idiots?
Bakes: Great post and lots of links within.
I've just spent most of an hour looking at these monsters.

Having seen a few attacking wildebeasts crossing the rivers I'm not much surprised other than those guys didn't get eaten.

MY experience in the tropics is that when white Europeans won't venture into the water due to known croc presence,
[large fresh tracks on the beach nearby where i was camped], a swarm of local Aboriginal and Thursday Islander native kids were
still splashing around in the nearby waters on regular basis...appearing to have not an ounce of fear or worry in their minds.
None of the local adults [native or European] who saw such, never really raised an eyebrow or said anything to deter them.

I was putting my boat in the Katherine river once and at the boat ramp a local black fella was swimming around. I said "watch the crocs mate"
"Nah they wont get me"

Now after every wet season they pull a number of 4+ meter salties from where he was swimming. Eeker

It's somehow comforting to know that the United States isn't the only country with rednecks.

Chasing buff through the swamps. falling into pools over chest-deep, in the NT--glad to not have to do that recently.
