I cant help with any info on the 595s or 695s as I dont know much about Tikkas. Which leads me to a question of my own about tikkas. I have seen a Tikka M55 in 17Rem for sale which I would like. What are your opinions on the Tikka M55s? Where they good guns, did they have a reuptation for accuraccy?

Yep, good if plain rifles, and very accurate.

That said, if it's secondhand, don't buy it without trying a few target groups. The .17 is a hot number, and won't forgive less than scrupulous cleaning.
