I hope this helps in your planning. I hunted with Graham Williams, so prices may vary a little. The exchange rate has also changed since I was there. From Graham's website, it appears the current price for a 7-day hunt is $5,900, which includes the trophy fee for one buffalo. I don't know what the fee is now for a second buffalo, but it was $1,500 for this past year. My wife decided not to go, but I think an extra person was only about $150 per day. Go to a bookstore in Darwin and buy a bird book. I can't find mine at the moment to give you the title. Unfortunately, I bought mine after the hunt. You will see lots of interesting birds.

The charter flights between Darwin and Bulman were about $600-800, depending upon other passengers and stops made. Graham Williams got the weapons permits processed, and the fee was included in the cost of the hunt. I have not received my skull and horns yet, but the costs of air freight, customs broker, etc. appear to be coming up to about $600. Tips are up to you.

My travel agent found a package for the airfare from Salt Lake City to Darwin and return, with 3 nights in a 3-Star hotel, of about $2,200. That saved some money, as hotel rates in Australia seem high by American standards. There are tours from Darwin to nearby National Parks that looked interesting, so you might want to add a couple of days, especially if you are traveling with your wife. From the time I left Salt Lake until I landed in Darwin was 31 hours. I would recommend you plan at least a day in Darwin to recover from the trip before you go out to hunt. We barely made connecting flights twice due to dealing with customs and our rifles, so ask your travel agent to plan a little extra time when you arrive and leave Australia. If you like beer, you might also enjoy the Victoria Bitter while you are in Darwin. I have low blood sugar, so I bought some nuts and snacks in Darwin to take with me in the field. You will probably be in a remote area so take things like that with you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
