Us Hawaiians feel more kin to NZ than US and Kiwis appreciate a good goat hunt so I figured I post here. I'm laid up recovering from a back surgery so could not attend but my 2 best buddies Keli'i and Aaron took our new friends from US Mainland father/son Jesse & Jim on a goat safari Hawaiian style.

Good stuff . Looks like a good time was had by all .

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Aloha,

Looks like a real nice hunt. I'm getting ready for Axis on Lanai for April-May.

Before all else, be armed.

Thats how we hunt them and that country looks a lot like some of NZ and great goat country.

Yours seem mostly dark although 1 is a bit lighter. Ours tend to have a bit more color in them - often some whites and tans and they are sometimes patchy with different colors on 1 animal.

Most here are shot and left as they are a major pest but we sometimes keep good skins and heads. Some of us eat them and some farmers use them as dog food.

What do you do with them over there?
