Those Maori wars stretched right up the coast past my area. there are beach dunes up this way littered with skeletons. at times it was intertribal genocide. Im on the south side of Kawhia, which is mentioned alot in this article. And depending on which family you talk to, you can still hear of the different alliances and hatreds. https://www.ngatitoa.iwi.nz/ru...rmation/te-rauparaha

Nearly as bad as the Lebbo wars in Melbourne and Sydney. I bet a lot of those Maori wars were protein hunts too. Posts: 87 | Location: Victoria Australia | Registered: 07 September 2002

Its all VERY tribal up in the NT as well Shanks. When different tribes congregate in a town due to flooding for instance its bloody warfare. ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Yeah historically none of us are different. My genetics are a mix of nearly every historic raiding party to have a go at Britain. Scandanavian, french, german, Welsh, scottish, with A bit of Semite thrown in for good luck.
