My wife is a school teacher and we arranged an exchange with a teacher in Griffith NSW a few years back. (we arrived there Dec. 05 and stayed the school year and returned to Canada Dec. of 07) I hated the fact that I missed out on hunting season in Alberta and that all the "hunting" I got to do was going out at night with a mate to hold the spotlight while he shot roos on his farm and going out (on the sly) with a couple fellows to shoot rabbits at night. But I did enjoy a lot of my time down under and did some fishing. We are putting in an application for another exchange. Any one out there a teacher or married to one who would like to do an exchange? We go there and live in your house and you come here to west centeral Alberta and live in our house. You are payed by your school division and we by ours. It is a great program and a fantastic opportunity to live a year in another country without it costing an arm and a leg. I have friends who would take you out hunting and fishing in Alberta. As you are coming here to live, you could hunt as a resident of Alberta for a reasonable cost. You would be best off to borrow a rifle from a resident here who would go out hunting with you. Have a good one! Robin in Rocky | ||
