An update to my first post of our 2013 tahr hunt with a few more photos from my nephews camera of the 11" bull he managed to score with a +300m shot. The first photo shows the ridge in the right foreground that he climbed up to shoot the bull off a rock face on the far side of a snow filled basin. As a consequence of that day hunting in the snow his feet froze in his boots and he has ended up with some frostbite on two toes. They are still tingling now and a bit black under the nails but according to the Doc they should come right if he keeps his feet warm and dry. Sort of makes me think of Perth - the ground there is also white - bit flatter, though .... Damn it looks cold. You guys must have had a fine time. -- Promise me, when I die, don't let my wife sell my guns for what I told I her I paid for them. | |||
