I usually give pretty generiously to various charities at Christmas particularly in this part of the world to the single parent families with kids that can't afford presents.

I found this link from another forum and thought that I will sent him & his missus some Xmas cheer from Queensland. If anyone else feels so inclined email me for a mailing address.

Last thursday a fire swept thru one of my best farmer mates property in wich i have shot on for over 20yrs,John Clegg of badgebup east of Kattaning was devasted this morning when i went out to pich in to clean up the horrible mess,he lost his workshop, shearing shed,4 rams,300h of unharvest crop,Biwoz[Bruce] and i have been hunting on johns property some time ago and if Bruce saw the property now he wouldnt recognize it,the cause of the fire as yet is unknown but local cops have a peice of evidence wich was supposivley fallen from a power pole i spoke to john this morning about his views on how he beleived it started and he was very concerned about power poles especially after 6mths ago he complained of pink and grey gallahs when they sit on the wires and fly off the wires clash with each other and spark out ,John at the moment is trying his hardest to get wat is left of his crop and he needed to fix a burst water pipe and all he needed was a hacksaw blade but he had none beceause the fire had gutted his workshop. Many of the local farmers have piched in to lend a hand and when i went out there i just stood in dismay and there was nothing that i could do but try to cheer john@his wife up,i will be there for sure when the busy bee is on to help my battleing Farmer, gundealer mate and his wife out......times like this especially before Christmas are the hardest for farmers without them haveing to do extra work and try to get a good nights sleep,Johns wife told me that about 8.00pm the night the fire had gone thru his property she came out the back door and every tree outside was just glowing, she went to tell John and he was just to tired to anything and simpley said...theres nothing we can do now but just let it all burn....Pics are comeing.....god i hate fire Emil
