I took the vergueiro to the range today and bench shot it at 100 meters. It was a bit low and to the left. Am I correct in saying to correct this I drift the front sight to the right? AND how the bloody hell do I do that with those little protective wings on the side of the front sight?

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

No you drift the front sight to the left, to move the point of impact to the right.

(Imagine the muzzle staying still pointing at your bullet hole. Then move the sight to the left...means the rifle barrel will go more to the right if you then point the sights at the bullet hole. If that makes any sense...)

Cant help you with the wings though.

Is the rear sight adjustable? If so, you move the rear sight in the direction you want the point of impact to go, in this case, move it to the right.

Easiest for me to remember simple relationships.

Front Sight . . . Opposite direction I want the bullet to move

Rear Sight . . . Same direction I want the bullet to move

Thanks guys. I'll do some looking and see if there is an adjuster floating around the iterwebs, OR just try to tap it across with a small drift.
