Lock, Stock and Barrel

I asked whether there was any problems shipping .204 projectiles to here in Aus. Got a reply that its no worries.

Am going to order as I find them hard to come by here. And their prices work out cheaper than quoted by one dealer, even after factoring the cost of shipping.

http://www.lockstock.com have always been so prompt.

When I bought the .204, I asked around about dies from five gun shops and was either fobbed off or told a minimum of 6 weeks. So I ordered from LSD on Sunday, had them in the mail on the Thursday. And a set of Redding Deluxe dies for the .204 cost roughly half what I was quoted by a “big†dealer in Melbourne.

Same with cleaning rods and brushes.

They are very good.
Check out their shipping restrictions for what they cannot ship.

GBB,
Sad but true that its often cheaper through a US dealer then buying locally. Projectiles may be stopped by Customs, in which case your up for a trip to Melbourne to pick them up. I usually buy through Grafs, but that site seems well priced too.
Thanks...

Yep, if Customs here check them, they'll hold them. Need a B709a form from the Firearms Registry to get them in.

If LSB are comfortable with the US end, that's not your worry. Though everyone else there is convinced that a State Dept Export License is required for all brass/projectile shipments [there was until recently an informal exemption for orders <1000pcs, but apparently a court case put paid to that].

Their 'no ship' items are unusual - nobody else seems to have any problems with optics, to Oz anyway. And I guess the stocks and triggers might all be over the US$100 export license exemption for 'gun parts'.

Cheers,
Doug

GBB,
Let us know when your order arrives, if it gets through unscathed then I might do an order for .17 projectiles.

Gadge,
There was a restriction on optics with Mil-Dot reticles for awhile, think that's gone now but LSB may not have updated their website info.
Cheers...

Bakes,
That's the good thing about these import permits, if it gets through your fine, if not you get a nasty letter, organise your permit and your set.
Cheers...
