Gday fellas. Im headin to nz on a thar hunt in may. Im lookin for a huntech bivvy bag. Apparently huntech arent making them anymore. Was wondering if any of you blokes would know where or if i could still get one. Any help would be appreciated

They are a great Bivvy but I would strongly advise that if using in Alpine terrain then combine with a Gortex Bivvy bag.

You can bottow my huntech I have a few bivvy bags kicking around, I can mail it to you and you can send it back after your hunt, I have three bivvy bags for me and my kids but only one huntech

Thanks for the offer weathered. Really appreciated. I will use it as an absolute last resort mate. In the meantime I will keep searching for one to purchase. Nice to see there is that amount of goodwill around as well

Mate i would suggest you look into a alpine tent instead. If things go pear shaped you will thank you lucky stars you had a tent and not a bivi,twenty years with the army ,been there done that and don't want to go near a bivi ever again!!!!

Better using the bivvy bag and a tent I have had a tent rip out in the night several times , just crawled into my bivvy and slept in the water dry as, my mate was a wringing wreck Big Grin

The west coast here gets 18 to 21 meters of rainfall a year even close to the main divide on the east it is heavy too, bivvies are good for summer and survival thats about it

Yeah you got it in one there. I want to take one for safety sakes. Not planning on sleepin out on the side of a mountain. Aint THAT KEEN!
