| Mate i would suggest you look into a alpine tent instead. If things go pear shaped you will thank you lucky stars you had a tent and not a bivi,twenty years with the army ,been there done that and don't want to go near a bivi ever again!!!! |

| Better using the bivvy bag and a tent I have had a tent rip out in the night several times , just crawled into my bivvy and slept in the water dry as, my mate was a wringing wreck The west coast here gets 18 to 21 meters of rainfall a year even close to the main divide on the east it is heavy too, bivvies are good for summer and survival thats about it |
