Bama15Fresh water Fishing out of Darwin
I have a hunt scheduled in Aug. and want to do a few days of fishing before the hunt to see more of the country and get rid of the jet lag, besides, I'm not flying that far and stay only 5 days. Any body recommend an outfitter who would do a good job?

larryshoresI have a friend who is an outfitter out of Darwin. He is in the US for the shows. I will PM you his e mails address and US phone numbers if you like.

BakesIf you want somewhere close to Darwin look for guides that fish on the Daly river or the Adelaide river. Google is your friend. I can't vouch for any as I never used them when I lived there.

DenisBLook for a guide who targets Milkfish ( available in Darwin Harbour itself) a unique fish & they tug like hell. Not terribly hard to hook........rather harder to land.

ozhunterBrian of Anglers advantage offers some great day trip fishing direct from Darwin. He specialises in light gear and soft plastics.
Not fresh water though.
If your keen on fresh water fishing for a short trip. You can get some good fishing in the Billabongs on the west side of Kakadu National Park. This is big Croc country so keep well within the boat
