I don't think it has been mentioned here yet but on Tuesday it was announced that The Shooters Party candidate in the recent NSW election won his seat in the NSW Upper House (senate). This takes TSP holding to two seats which effectively gives TSP the balance of power when voting with the two Christian Democrat members over the filthy greens (spit). Hooray!!! For our overseas readers and anyone else who doesnt know about TSP -we now have the only two elected legislators anywhere in the world - devoted (but not solely) to the needs of fireams owners. The party also represents all outdoors enthusiasts anglers, 4x4 drivers, etc, etc. If you want to read all about the good work of TSP look here... Does it? I thought the Greens have four upper house seats, and the Shooters Party and the Christian Democrats Party have two seats each, making it four for them as well. Liberal Party and National Party Coalition 15 seats. Labor Party 19 seats. So Labor can play off the Greens and the Shooters/CDP against each other using either group to get the appropriate left wing or right wing legislation through. Eg if they want to pass anti-drug legislation they can use the Shooters/CDP. Eg if they want to ban firearms of a particular type they certainly will be able to use the Greens.

Mate it only takes one arsehole dictator to get into power and it can all come crashing down. I think in places like NZ you think it is all OK to have fairly open laws and no one really gives a shit but it can change very quickly!!! I think our downfall in Australia (apart from having Jack-boot Johnnie around) was the fact that we had VERY open laws similar to NZ in the state where the trouble was caused (Tas). I am not neccessarily saying that more regulation will prevent these things from happening but you do have to look at these things with your head and not your heart!! OK John - you are correct - they more likely hold the deciding vote when voting with the government.... and that has traditionally been how TSP amendments and legislation have come through parliment (eg. Game Bill, Home Invasion Bill, etc, etc). At least the greens (spit) wont stand in the way of that in future!! Hopefully now they can get some more amendmends made to the firearms legislation... plus other stuff Thanks for the correction MG A day spent in the bush is a day added to your life Hunt Australia - Website Hunt Australia - Facebook Hunt Australia - TV
