A few years back the wife and i went on a teacher exchange to Griffith NSW. She put in for another exchange and we just herd that there is a chance to exchange to Roxby Downs SA. We had asked for an exchange to a small town on the coast. This place is a long way to the coast (a little closer than Griffith was). I was looking into info (google) on Roxby Downs and I brought up an air photo map. Pretty out back, out back. Last time we drove from Griffith to the red center and so drove by just south of Roxby on the Stuart highway. Hows the fishing down Port Agusta way?

There is good fishing all along the coast of SA. A boat will help you get to the best spots and local knowledge always helps too. There are large snapper (porgys) to be had if you know where to look and Australian salmon in season. Also, the usual smaller species and plenty of squid at the right times of year. There are large oyster leases further south towrds Pt Lincoln if you are into those. Further south there is excelent offshore fishing for Tuna and other ocean species from a boat. Roxby is getting out there for sure. Bloody hot in summer with relentless 100+F days for weeks on end. Good luck!

WHAT WAS I THINKING??? We didn't think too long about this exchange and are turning it down. Griffith was plenty hot enough for me and I don't think we need an even hotter spot. So her application is going back in and hopefully we will get a better fit. A small town on the coast would be right. Eden or Bateman's Bay would do. Or Coff's Harbor or Bundeburg or Noosa.
