How could you guys forget October 31 and the charge of the 4th Brigade of the Australian Light Horse??!! Remembrance Day is close by, and if we don't remember, who will? So many young lives lost.... Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong;

Maybe everyone is keeping his powder dry until next year, the centenary. My cousin/adopted great uncle was in the Light Horse but didn't make it that far, apparently killed at Lone Pine instead.

Hope so sambarman. The historic "truce" on Christmas Day 1914 seemed to go unnoticed, but was remembered by British and German servicemen, in Afganistan of all places! Perhaps living in the States I don't get as much news about such events, but I generally try to see the Cenotaph service. Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. There are many here who would not, unfortunately, have the slightest idea about Beersheba and its ramifications.

I work with a lot of fellows,and most of these guys have young children. These guys all talk about Haloween. I then mentioned that we are Aussies,and we should be celebrating Beersheba Day. I just need to keep on educating our younger Australians Cheers Malcolm
