Youngest son took a red hind and three fallow for freezer meat last week using my X-Bolt 7mm WSM. The red was a ranged at 380m up on open foothill country, DRT to a shoulder/neck junction shot and fallow all dropped with 180-200m neck shots.
The WSM zeroed at 250m with Leupold VX3i, suppressed and using bipod.
The X-Bolt will be off on a weeks alpine Tahr hunt in a couple of weeks time weather permitting.

Got a big freezer hey? Big Grin

I have to kick the old Engle into gear when I get something. Wink

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Good stuff. All animals look to be in decent nick too.
Planning something similar for a couple of weeks time. Hoping this better weather currently holds on for both my hunting and yours.

Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

I only took the biggest fallow and son's mates got the rest, they got a home kill butcher to make it all into kebabs, flavoured sausages, patties, and mince other than the prime back strap and medallion cuts which they kept as is.

I wasn't quite so adventurous and boned out rump cuts for roasting, front shoulders for same, back strap steaks and medallions, then all the rest as stew meat. Chucked some stew meat in vegetable soup in the slow cooker, hmm beautiful.
